The frame of the Barcelona chair is made of lightweight aluminium, on which a protective powder coating has been applied. The armrests and backrest of the Barcelona chair have a beautiful detail: namely, they are finished with a modern, hand-woven rope. The rope is made of solution-dyed polyester with a rubber core. This material was chosen for its durability, colourfastness and weather resistance.
The cushion of the chair has a water-repellent coating. This coating ensures that a few raindrops are easily knocked off the cushion. If bad weather is forecast for an extended period, we recommend storing the cushion in a warm, dry place.
